Northeast Automatic Sprinkler Company is in its 60th year and third generation as a family-led leader in the automatic sprinkler industry. In 1965, Bob Odell and Bert Lindvall opened Northeast Automatic Sprinkler Company.
As long‑time leaders in the Boston division of the former Rockwood Sprinkler Company, they brought the experience, relationships and drive needed to carry Rockwood’s tradition of excellence forward through Northeast Automatic Sprinkler. Today—more than 60 years later—Northeast continues to serve Greater Boston and Cape Cod with exceptional design‑build and renovation expertise in automatic sprinkler systems, along with a full range of inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair services.

Under the leadership of Bob and, subsequently, his son David, who took charge in 1992 and continues to serve as president while remaining actively involved in sales, Northeast has served a distinguished list of clients, including some of the largest, most successful, and highly respected general contractors in the Boston area.
Today, that leadership is supported by the third generation, with David’s son Brandon contributing to operations through his oversight of the fabrication shop and nearly 15 years of service with the company. Family leadership has also helped us retain a staff of expert sprinkler designers and technicians. Many have years—often decades—of service with us.
Not only do all of our foremen and fitters complete the rigorous five-year Local 550 Sprinkler Fitters Apprenticeship program, but they also bring years—often decades—of hands-on field experience. This combination makes Northeast’s technicians exceptionally skilled and among the most qualified in the industry.
